New Details Emerge on Joseph ‘Mutangazi’ Mutangadura Murder at Lisheen Estate

Police Disclose New Information on Joseph ‘Mutangazi’ Mutangadura Murder at Lisheen Estate

New details have emerged surrounding the murder of businessman Joseph Mutangadura, widely known as Mutangazi.

The prominent entrepreneur was shot dead at his Lisheen Estate farmhouse in Ruwa shortly after midnight under unclear circumstances.

Suspected Robbery Turns Fatal

According to The Herald,  investigations indicate that seven suspected robbers raided the farm, confronting Mutangadura and demanding cash. Sources claim that he informed the assailants he had no money on him, as the day’s takings were at his abattoir.

The suspects reportedly then shot him in the stomach and fired more than five additional rounds into his chest before fleeing the scene.

Police Investigation Underway

National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident, stating,

“I am still waiting for the details of the case and will soon issue a comprehensive statement on what transpired.”

Detectives from CID Homicide in Harare have already been dispatched to the estate to carry out a thorough investigation.

Mutangadura’s Business Legacy

Mutangadura owned Lisheen Estate, famously known for the Mutangadura Hideout, as well as several butcheries and other businesses. His death has sent shockwaves across the country.
