Dynamos recorded their first back-to-back wins of the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) season after a convincing 3-0 victory over Kwekwe United on Sunday, following a 1-0 triumph over MWOS two weeks ago.

Goals from Jairos Kasondo, Wisdom Mutasa, and a late Ransom Chingwara volley extended DeMbare’s winning streak to four matches across all competitions.

Despite the result, Dynamos remain embroiled in the relegation battle, with their 22 points leaving them five behind the last safe position occupied by Chicken Inn, fifth from bottom.

Elsewhere, Yadah Stars edged CAPS United 2-1 at Rufaro Stadium. Goals from Innocent Muchaneka and Tanaka Chikumba secured a crucial victory for the Miracle Boys, while Love Mabiala’s stoppage-time strike proved only a consolation for CAPS, who suffered another damaging defeat.

Highlanders also faced a setback, falling 2-0 at home to TelOne at Barbourfields Stadium. Tawanda Macheke and Washington Navaya scored for the visitors, while Highlanders captain and goalkeeper Ariel Sibanda saw a penalty saved by TelOne’s Criss Mverechena.

Triangle United continued their impressive form with a 2-0 win over FC Platinum, while Simba Bhora maintained their lead at the top of the PSL with a hard-fought 1-0 victory against MWOS at Ngoni Stadium on Saturday.

Tapuwa Mandinyenya netted the stoppage-time winner, lifting the defending champions to 50 points, just one ahead of second-placed Scottland FC.

MWOS, who have now gone six games without a win, remain third with 42 points.

At Baobab Stadium, ten-man Ngezi Platinum surrendered a lead to settle for a 1-1 draw against Bikita Minerals.

Captain Qadr Amin had put Ngezi ahead in the 70th minute from the penalty spot, but three minutes later, Brooklyn Katumba was shown a red card. Bikita equalised in stoppage time through a penalty converted by Felix Moyo.

Chicken Inn and Manica Diamonds played out a goalless draw, while Herentals narrowly defeated Greenfuel 1-0.

On Friday, Scottland temporarily claimed the PSL summit after beating ZPC Kariba 2-1 at Rufaro Stadium, courtesy of a first-half brace from Tymon Machope.
